unicode is a swine to get right at the best of times.. You code something one way, then suddenly a little-endian font comes along…
The best essay I ever read on unicode was here. While anyone is there, I strongly suggest checking some of his other articles out, especially if you do management, startups ar programming. Joel Spoelsky worked for M$ on Excel 5, did a number of other jobs, then setup his own firm FogCreek, which is remarkably successful in it’s arena. His is opinionated in a good way, and writes some of the most engaging techy articles out there 🙂

Another thing is great is using Podium for plugin development.
With most hosts, you specify a single directory, or a range of directories for VST scans. So when I compile a dll, I need to drop it into one of these directories before launching the host.
I had been using Console quite a lot, since it’s very quick and easy for wiring something up, and is incredibly robust and forgiving of naughty plugins.. Thing is, I can’t easily debug back into the IDE if I need to . It is possible, but rather hit and miss.
However, I started using Podium a while back, and since I can specify exactly where the plug is – so I can run a debug session directly in the IDE without any fiddling about. It’s FAB!!!

fairy nuff 🙂
Any clues as to what you are working on?

cool!
I was having play last night. I was wondering.. when tracks are collapsed, is there a chance that there could be horizontal lines for identifying how many subtracks are there? In the mixer, there are vertical line deliniating the subtracks when collapsed – could something similar be there for the arrange window?
If it ends up looking too messy, then it’s not a problem..

…how exciting..
dling now

My apologies then, I originally thought that it was a snide comment. That’s what happens when you spend too much time at kvraudio and cubase.net-they tend to make you a bit trigger happy.
Yeah but we’ve got hearts of gold 😉
