I assume you are using the 64-bit version of Podium. To use the 32-bit plugins with Podium 64-bit you need jBridge (not free):
https://jstuff.wordpress.com/jbridge/
You can try to use the 32-bit version of Podium. It should recognize and load all the plugins without problems. I also use DrumCore free with Podium 32-bit, so why it should not work with yours? 😉
If you don’t need a lot of computing power (tons of tracks with instruments, effects, etc …), you can use the 32-bit version.
On this topic (32 vs 64-bit for music production) you can read this article:
http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/nov10/articles/64-bit.htm
Have you tried to play the file with VLC and Audacity?
I did exactly what you have written and both have played it properly.
If you want to convert the file to MP3, you need a third-party converter.
Podium Free is limited to only one MIDI input and one MIDI output. So, if you’re already using another device (such as a keyboard), you can’t also use the drum machine. If this is not your case, then check the drum machine settings and MIDI setup of Podium.
I don’t use hardware devices with Podium and therefore I can’t help you in more depth. 🙁
As far as I know, currently, there is no option to choose whether to create a new event or extend the existing one.
If you don’t want to resize the event each time to avoid the overdubbing, you can record in the same event and then split it.
Check these topics:
http://zynewave.com/topic/multitimbral-kontakt-outputs/

I hope they are helpful.
I don’t know if it’s possible “per track”. But you can always merge all events in that track in one whole event, quantize it and then split it when you need.
Right click on the track header and select Fader. In the sub menu you can choose the proper option:
– Set Fader After Effects
– Set Fader Before Effects
– Set Fader At (select the point in the effect chain)
– Set Fader After Sends (only if the Send bus is the latest in the chain effects).
Same behavior with Meter.
They are two different things.
If you right click on the MIDI event and select Quantize, you quantize the whole event (alignment with the timeline grid).
If you open the event editor (piano roll), you quantize the notes.
Both also work with the snap disabled.
Same behavior for Adjust timing.
Check the bit resolution of the file before exporting it.
Softwares like VirtualDJ do not support audio wave file with a resolution greater than 16 bits. So, I suggest you to always use this resolution. 😉
Hi,
you have certainly experienced a thousand other solutions, however in the forum of NI website I found this:
https://www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/kontakt-5-crash-after-crash-help.212266/
I can only suggest to try to use the 32-bit plugin or load Kontakt within a sub-host (like Wusik VM). It’s just an idea and it does not solve your problem permanently. 🙁
Another attempt to test Podium and its capabilities.
Hello,
I reply late, maybe you’ve already found an answer to your question, but this could help other users.
Right click on the arrangement title in the project start page and select one of the these options (section 2.5.5 of Podium guide):
– New Arrangement as Unique Copy…: Creates a copy of the arrangement including unique copies of all sounds and sequences used in the arrangement.
– New Arrangement as Phantom Copy…: Creates a copy of the arrangement without copying sounds and sequences. Timeline events are still linked to the sounds and sequences used by the original arrangement. Useful if you want to create alternative mixes of an already completed song.
Well guys, first of all, thank you for your answers. From your experience, I concluded that most likely the problem is due to a VST plugin. With other DAWs, I worked mainly with audio. In Podium, I started using heavily and systematically VST plugins (many, even in a single project).
I’ve never used NCH Software and my MIDI keyboard (call it that, is really a compliment …) doesn’t need a special driver.
Now I’ll enjoy to find the “bad”. It won’t be easy, but it’s the only thing I can do.
Greetings to all.
I realize that the question in these terms is very vague. There may be thousands of reasons why the problem occurs.
Of course, the simplest solution would be to change the computer. 🙂
Since I can’t do it, I’m trying to find another way to solve the problem.
There was another audio driver that worked in my system. Removed it, the system has become more stable, but it still crash occasionally, but less frequently.
The last test is to turn off the power to the project before closing the program. In this way all VSTs should be inactive.
The project is saved correctly. Furthermore, the crash occurs with different projects, not only with one in particular. 😕
After several failed attempts for sharing , finally here is the file:
Master channel needs a limiter.
