Hi Bladerunner,
Great work! The basses are really powerful and I love the Moon Unit (is that the right name??) pad.
Actually all the Pads are really good.
For fun, try putting an ocsilloscope like this one (see link) as an insert effect on Nucleum so that you can watch the interesting way in which FM changes the waveform.

PS: I have no connection to the Dev, I just think this is by far the best freebie ocilloscope out there.
Hi all 😀 ,
I have only had a brief chance to look at the beta for 2.04 but i must say that from what I have read and seen so far …this update is amazing!
Frits, I did notice that for an existing project, if the Gain and Pan controlls were already enabled for an insert effect, then you would see two ‘full’ squares in the Fader column.
Don’t think that this means much though as clicking another square seems to correct this. Also this would only be relevant for old projects.
Anyway nice work so far. Looks like I’m going to have to go and read that Bob Katz book now … 😉
Ben
Yes,
Thanks here too Frits. 😀 Had to break out my old CM copy of Re-Birth to test this 😯 but it looks pretty good so far. I’m sure this ticks a rather important box for many people evaluating Podium.
“The open/close state of plugin editors is now remembered for each arrangement, so the editors are automatically opened the next time you power on.”
Very nice, thanks again,
Ben

I was hoping to finish the feature I have just started working on, but maybe I’ll just release 2.01 with this single fix.
A fix and a feature! Nice work again Frits.
I get the feeling that it could be handy to copy some of the Mixer view features to the arrangement view menu. Collapse all audio, collapse all Midi, minimise/expand all tracks etc.
Anyone see this as being useful?
Ben
Hi all,
Haven’t had much time to test and evaluate as we have a new addition to our family.
What I have seen so far though is very impressive! Well done Frits, happy 2.00th birthday.

The white and black logo images are actually identical.
I made black and white versions so that partners can use the logos no matter if they use a dark or light page background color.
Errrrmmmm …okay.
BTW, what is with the green square Podium logo on KVR?
Hi Frits,
I like the white text on black background, with the heavier font 😀
Initially couldn’t help but think that the these are quite plain by todays ‘Ray-traced’ standards however after flicking around the net for a while it is pretty clear that brand logos simply need to be immediately recognisable, clear, clean and aesthetically pleasing.
This ticks all the boxes IMHO. Nice!

Hey Zsolt,
I think this will end up requiring advice from Frits and probably as a feature request after that.
I frequently use the Unload plugins after bounce is activated but of course that only works on child, not parent tracks.
Maybe you’ll have to copy the bounced audio to a new track each time and just leave the work-up tracks muted/de-activeated. I think this could be easier that nesting bounce tracks.
Nebula sounds like a bit of a rig-killa 😯 I’ve never used it, is the quality of the ef-ex worth the restriction on work-flow?
Ben
Yep …I’m with druid on that one.
Assuming you are in Compact Mode, File tab, Arrangement Properties, you can right-click the track header and choose ‘Insert Bounce Track’ however you should note that any effects on the initial track will be moved onto the bounce track automatically.
In your case, doing this will leave Nebula 2 ‘live’ and still eating processor cycles (big-time).
To bounce the whole lot, right click the top track, which is the last effect track in the chain and choose ‘Insert bounce track’ from there.
That will bounce the whole lot and then mute/deactivate all below 🙂
Hope this helps,
Ben

• Support for drag-scrolling in the editors when dragging the mouse outside the display area. The scroll sensitivity can be adjusted with two new settings in the preferences dialog: “Drag scroll acceleration width around editor” and “Drag scroll maximum pixels per second”.
Please post your experiences with these new features.
May have under-sold this one a little Frits . Either by design, (well let’s just call it that), the new drag-scolling feature enables you to move back and forth through the arrangement by grabbing the play cursor and running it off the screen (right or left of course).
Combined with the “Link Edit cursor to play cursor” option and the ability to start/stop play by double-clicking, and the fact that the cursor jumps to wherever you click on the time-line aaannnddd that the mousewheel will zoom horizontally around the mouse pointer when over the timeline
….well navigaing the arrangement just go a whole lot faster and easier 😀 .
Definately worth a mention on the 2.00 feature list IMO.
