Maybe a pop up window would be better. There’d be an option to display or not display this window at start up.
Even now I sometimes forget to hit the power button and wonder why I’m getting no sound.

I think the buttons for the File, Edit, View and Setup menus should be moved to tabs along the top of the window.

Merry Christmas. 🙂
Nebula 3 CM is also free with Computer Music magazine. 🙂
Will the auto-sizing of the bounce tracks below the master track just be to the length of their child tracks or the whole arrangement?
Thanks.
But I don’t like the way the top and bottom bars get shifted off the right side of the screen when the inspector is open.
Cheers Frits. 🙂
I’m not too comfortable with the detached track inspector. It seems too “global” if you get what I mean. It seems it has more to do with the entire project rather than pertaining to the particular ‘take’ you are working on. I think moving it back to an internal sliding column would be better as surely it would still have the same benefits?
Perhaps the behavior could be configured to preference?
This is a good option. The piano roll can get very busy very quickly. 🙂

I wouldn’t make such bold assumptions. I’m only running @ 1152×864 at a push. I know you said majority, but, still.

I kinda get it and like the idea of being able to separate the tracks in the track inspector into chains but what benefit does this update provide over the ‘Hide Track Lane’ option? With this option I can see that the child track has a parent but it doesn’t get in the way of the view; but with this new addition I can’t immediately see this relationship and with a big project you could forget for an instant what the hierarchy structure is.
Maybe it will become more clear to me as it is developed but it seems kinda like your trying to provide superfluous functionality.
I just thought of a suggestion: maybe you could just extend the ‘Hide Track Lane’ functionality rather than trying to implement a new view system?
